Ans. There are four families who live in our neighborhood.

Ans. Two Families out of four are nuclear families.

Q.3 Who are the members in these families? How do they divide the work among them?

Ans. The members in these families are: A father, A mother and their two children. The father and The mother do most of the work together. 

Q.4 How many joint families are there in your neighborhood?

Ans. Two families are joint families there in our neighborhood.

Q.5 If Sanjana’s family had been a nuclear family, then who would have taken care of her mother?

Ans. If Sanjana’s family had been a nuclear family, then her father would have taken care of her mother.

Q.1 What answer Salma’s father must have given to her?

Ans. Salma’s father replied to Salma that Your grandfather, grandmother, uncle and aunt live in our village. And they can’t live with us because they do agriculture work over there. He also told that, We migrated in the city for your education. We can stay and work together with our family members in our village but since education facility is not good there that’s why he had to leave it.

Q.2 What are the reasons for the formation of  nuclear families?

Ans. The various reasons for the formation of nuclear families are: Number of family members in joint family, Habits and behavior of the family members, Economic condition, Education and Continuous changes in the ways of celebration of festivals etc.

Q.3 What is the difference between a nuclear family and a joint family?

Ans. In a nuclear family, Few family members such as a father, a mother and their children live together whereas in joint family, Many family members such as  a grandfather, a grandmother, an elder uncle, an elder aunt, a father, a mother, a younger uncle, a younger aunt and their children live together.

Q.4 In due course of time, What are the changes in the ways of celebration of festivals?

Ans. In due course of time, The celebration of festivals have become more eco-friendly. For example: People play Tilak Holi on Holi and use Electric Diya on Diwali nowadays.

Ans. If you live in a nuclear family and your mother goes out of the station for 2-3 days, then we don’t feel well. We have to suffer for every single thing.

Q.2 For taking care of those children whose parents are not alive, the government has established schools/ Orphanages / Hospitals. Have a discussion with your teacher about the same.

Ans. For taking care of those children whose parents are not alive, the government has established schools/ Orphanages / Hospitals for their arrangement of basic needs such as providing facilities of food, shelter and education.
